Under the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme 2024, 50,000 qualified public sector university students all throughout Pakistan would get computers. The PM Laptop Scheme’s goals
The primary goals of the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme are to improve and innovate Pakistan’s IT industry to meet international standards, foster strong relationships between educational institutions and IT training providers, enable educational institutions to provide the best environment for students, facilitate networking, and so improve the learning environment for students by means of state-of-the-art IT programs. By means of advanced technology, assisting in the digitization process of schools, colleges, universities, and technical institutes, and enabling institutions to apply digitized campus processes with the newest technologies, the scheme also seeks to make Pakistan competitive internationally in the field of IT.
Qualifying Requirements
Students who want to be qualified for the PM Laptop Scheme have to be valid as of the last date of application submission and have a current CNIC or B Form. They have to be enrolled in a public sector university or a degree-awarding institution approved by HEC, be engaged in a Ph.D., MS, MPhil, or similar 18-year academic program, be enrolled in a four or five-year bachelor’s degree program, and be enrolled in an MBA program.

Scheme for PM Laptops 2024 Ineligibility
Students enrolled in any private sector higher education institution, admitted to any government degree and postgraduate college and affiliated institutions, have previously received a laptop from any government or non-government organization, hold foreign citizenship, do not meet the eligibility criteria, and have been disqualified by their institution, have not submitted their online application through the portal, fail to produce required documentation and proof of academic performance during examination, or have passed their degree program prior the distribution of laptops.
Distribution Standards
Merit awards for the PM Laptops will go to Ph.D., MS, MPhil, or 16 years of education holders in higher education. University enrollment will help to decide the quota for every degree program. Balochistan has a particular quota set at 14%, by direction from Pakistan’s Prime Minister. Other government departments will receive the remaining computers depending on their priorities.
